Overall, Persona 5 deals with a lot of suggestive themes and injustice, which makes it an instant classic among ATLAS's games.

While there are no explicit sex scenes, they are implied in some places. There isn't a lot of blood in the game. Most of the blood is brief, like the first time characters get their personas and rip off their masks, they bleed from where the mask was.

In a recent interview with the Spanish-language outlet Atomix, Yamaguchi revealed that Atlus's P-Studio decided "there would be no version [of the game] for the Nintendo Switch" fairly early on during the remake's development, while the project was still in a concept phase.

Ultimately, both games remain fantastic additions to any JRPG fan's game library, with Persona 4 Golden by far the more refined and exciting experience.

Persona and the Persona 2 games shared narrative elements which were concluded with Eternal Punishment, so Persona 3 started out with a fresh setting and characters. The first in the series is Persona, set in the year 1996. This is followed by the events of Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment in 1999.

Persona 3 Reload: A Perfect Starting Point

One redditor suggests starting with Persona 3 Reload, as it offers updated visuals and mechanics from Persona 5 but is less overwhelming in terms of content. It provides a great introduction to the series without being too complex or time-consuming.

Revealed during the Xbox Partner Showcase, the Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass will include “new costumes, background music, and extended story content with Episode Aigis -The Answer-.”

The cast of Persona 3 and 4 are shown to interact relatively frequently, but this is only within the realm of spin-offs and crossover titles. Still, it is interesting to see direct references being made within the mainline games as well.

Persona 3 Reload 1-minute review

Admittedly, the repetitive Tartarus dungeons don't quite stack up to Persona 5's palaces and the game is also missing some content like the epilogue from P3 FES and the female protagonist from P3 Portable. Overall, however, Persona 3 Reload is another worthy addition to the franchise.

To test that, I played the game on Nintendo Switch and found that it runs pretty flawlessly on the portable console. There are some concessions on the Switch version in order to make it run smoothly, but they have little negative impact on the overall gameplay experience.

Even easier to pick up and play

Despite the Switch's aging hardware, Persona 5 Royal still looks great on a 4K TV thanks to its stylized design. However, being able to pick up my Switch and play in handheld mode has given me the flexibility to play the game in bed, around the house or even on the go.

Overall, Persona 5 Royal is excellent. It takes what was great about the base game and expands on it. I'm serious when I say that the new ending and dungeon are some of the best in all Persona games.
